NATIONAL DISASTER RESILIENCE MONTH

NATIONAL DISASTER RESILIENCE MONTH “KAHANDAAN SA SAKUNA’T PELIGRO PARA SA TUNAY NA PAGBABAGO”                “Every ounce of care is equivalent to a pound of care”, a saying from Benjamin Franklin, a famed scientist and is one of those who signed the American Declaration of Independence during the eve of the American War of Evidence. One must be ready when a disaster comes like a volcanic eruption, or a tectonic earthquake, or a storm surge caused by a storm and etc... disasters can happen anywhere.                This month, we celebrate the National Disaster Resilience Month. One of the first steps in being safe during a disaster is to equip mitigation. This pre-disaster approach certainly deals with the expected disaster and what might possibly happen after the disaster. It puts on effect all known possible efforts and steps in possibly coping with the disaster.           ...

The main reason that were initiated throughout the country is that so we can be prepared for incoming disasters like earthquakes. This was also initiated because our province is near the West Valley Fault and it is expected that a magnitude which is between 5.5 up to 7.0 so it is expected that each year the government does this kind of activity.         Joining the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill is one of the things we should do because it gives us a reenactment of what will happen when earthquakes strike; it gives us information to do when a major earthquake comes; and it makes us ready for any earthquake.        Knowledge is useless without action and wisdom. A SHORT HISTORY ABOUT INDENDENCE

Independence is the time when a local country or region gains political freedom from foreign control in the sense that the local inhabitants will not pay taxes to its overlord. Filipinos celebrate this because their country escaped the tight Spanish grip for almost 333 years. To tell the truth, the Filipinos really escaped the Spanish but in turn were   made subjects by the Americans from 1898 until about 1935 or 1941.           In order to achieve this independence, many lives, lives whose names are worth more than hundred well-trained infantrymen like the first leader of KKK or the Kataas-taasang Kagalang-galangang Katipunan ng mga anak ng Bayan Andres Bonifacio. Lieutenant General Antonio Luna, Brigadier General Gregorio Del Pilar, Macario Sakay, the brains of the revolution Apolinario Mabini and many more.          During the fateful day of December 7, 1941, attack waves of Japanese Bo...

About Myself

Hi! My name is Eliel Enan Guerra. I am 15 years old. I currently live at Zone 10, Raois, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur. I am currently studying at the Ilocos Sur National High School. I am interested in everything that is throughout the course of history especially about Biblical Archaeology, the Second World War and Biblical Studies. The best sport I know is Chess which stimulates the mind of the person playing it. My dream is to become an engineer someday to help my parents who are that moment growing old. And lastly, my motto is from Philippians 4:13 which is "I can do all things throug...
