Solidarity means unity or agreement of feeling or action, especially among individuals with a common interest; mutual support within a group. The facts that since 1572 we were colonized by Kingdom of Spain (Reino de EspaƱa in Spanish), The United States Of America And the Imperial Japanese Empire we must guard ourselves against growing threats from outside the country especially against the growing power of the People's Republic of China.

         Philippine Solidarity Week is a week of activities beginning on February 4 to commemorate the Philippine-American War and to raise awareness and support for the continuing struggle of the Filipino people for national liberation. It is led by Bagong Alyansang Makabayan-USA or BAYAN-USA.

Kannawidan Ylocos Festival Ilocos Sur is a beautiful province located in the northern part of Luzon. It is a province rich in culture that represents the ancient Spanish and Filipino heritage. To show and share their treasures to the whole world, the locals conceived a festival that highlights these cultural traditions and they called it the “Kannadiwan Festival”. It is a celebration that lasts from the last week of January up to the first week of February. Included in the course of events is the commemoration of the foundation day of the province. Reflection “Education is a weapon, whose effect depends on who holds it in his hands and at whom it is aimed.” This Third Quarter a new set of information was given to us by our beloved teacher Mrs. Evelyn Vera Cruz. I again manage to to scrape through this with a little help from my friends. I also encountered many problems this quarter most of all, difficulty in paying attention during discussion.
